Jeff Little author of In Pursuit of Trophy Smallmouth Bass: My Life in a Kayak teaches kayak fishing skills through his business Blue Ridge Kayak Fishing LLC.  Rather than tying his business to a single watershed, Jeff brings his lesson and his students to rivers, creeks, and reservoirs where the bite is optimal.  This nomadic approach covers a geographical area from north of Harrisburg, PA to as far south as Richmond, Virginia.

In 2001, he earned certification through the American Canoe Association to teach Basic River Kayak.  He used this lesson plan as the frame work upon which to build a curriculum that he customizes for each of his students.  Skills and techniques

instructed include river safety, pattern development for river and reservoir smallmouth bass, depth finder interpretation, stealth approaches, as well as a variety of seasonal specific smallmouth tactics.

He contributes regularly to Kayak Angler Magazine and Woods & Waters Magazine, and has been featured in articles appearing in Bassmaster Magazine, Bassin’ and Pennsylvania Boater & Angler.  He holds pro staff positions with St. Croix Rods, Wilderness Systems Kayaks, and Hawg Head Baits.  Jeff resides in New Windsor, Maryland with his wife Jessica and his two sons Sawyer and Cooper.
