Once upon a time……no let’s try another.  Four score and seven years ago………nope, that won’t work either.  On a hill far away……….Hmm, how many ways can there really be to begin a magazine? 

How about this:  On behalf of everyone involved in launching this exciting volume, I want to welcome you to The Northeastern Angler E-Magazine.  This magazine is for you, the angler.  Whether a weekend worm-under-a-bobber connoisseur or on the professional tournament trail we cater to you.  We will cover a variety of topics, tips and techniques.   If trolling for Great Lakes salmon and steelhead fishing is your thing, we have it covered.  How about wild rainbow trout on the fly rod?  Or jigging bucktails for the king of all freshwater fish, the muskellunge?  Anyone for jet outboard maintenance?  How about a kayak safety check?  Ice fishing in Northern NY?  Maybe a good walleye recipe floats your boat, or perhaps a few tips on how to coax high pressure small pond bass from their slumber?  

I hope I got your attention.  If I didn’t, let me assure you, the articles and photos in The Northeastern Angler are sure to peak your interest.  We have a nucleus of some of the finest anglers and guides in the New England/Mid-Atlantic region.  They’re exceptionally fine writers too.  Please check out our bios section for more information on who’s who here. 

We welcome your suggestions.  Our goal here at Northeastern Angler is to bring you a complete volume that will help improve your chances at landing that elusive trophy fish, whatever it may be.  We’ll think outside the box and have loads of fun here. Please excuse our adjustments these first few months as we play with graphics software and make our way through html code.
